Play-a-palooza at Smith Kids' Play Place

Today we took the girls to Smith Kids' Play Place. This place is awesome! They held an opening day celebration and fundraising event for the start of the outdoor playground season called Play-a-palooza.  Smith is located in East Fairmount Park, Philadelphia.  The park and playhouse mansion are free. (Today's event was $10 per child to raise money for support of the facility.)  They have a mansion totally dedicated to play and a huge outdoor play area with so many different kinds of equipment that you can't find anywhere else.  Seriously, this place is awesome.
The first thing we did was meet the Berenstain Bears!!
Then we went inside the playhouse mansion...
There were some people from the Philadelphia Zoo and we met a bunny rabbit and a hawk.
 Little musician...

In the basement there are a bunch of riding and peddling toys to drive around the "street" and practice your traffic skills...
 Red means stop!!

The reading room...

Sharing some bubble gum water ice...

Potato sack races :) You can also see the playhouse mansion in background...

So fun!!

They also have this enormous wooden slide that you use potato sacks to slide on which helps you to go super fast!
Rock stars!! :)

Our family had so much fun here and we are definitely going back! Who wants to go with us?

Jenks Playground, Chestnut Hill

Jenks playground is one of our new favorite playgrounds!! It is located in Chestnut Hill on Germantown Ave at the John Story Jenks elementary school.  How cool would it be to attend this elementary school and get to play on this playground every day?!

No matter what playground we go to Bella's favorite is always the swings.

They had these great "bells" to make very loud music.
There is a HUGE sandbox filled with trucks, shovels, buckets and a big slide. So fun!
Snack Time!!
The park is divided into two sections...one for the little ones and one for bigger kids.  The park also has balance beams, tire swing, bridges and lots of wood structures to climb on.  In the back there are also basketball nets.  The girls absolutely loved this park and of course did not want to leave!  I have been meaning to take them here for awhile and am not suprised that this might be our new favorite park! Chestnut Hill is such a beautiful town and this park makes me love it even more!!

Ava went bungee jumping!!!

The first time we saw the EuroBungy at the Montgomery Mall in North Wales, Ava was literally begging me to do it. I told her we had to wait and we would come back with Daddy so he could see her do it too. She wasn't too happy about that but I promised and we made it back there today to jump and she loved it :)

Waiting patiently...

Oh! I am so excited!!!

Getting all strapped up...

We didn't get too many good pictures of her jumping...but we loved watching her do it!! We were busy watching her...and her sister wasn't too happy that she was having all the fun so we were dealing with that too. I could tell she was a little scared but she did not give up at all. I was so proud of her!!

A little bit of video too :) 3 years old jumping about 20 feet in the air strapped to bungee cords.  So proud of our brave girl!
